JONAH 2

#9986 RE: JONAH 2 #9985

GOD IS LOVE the Bible teaches - He would never never burn a person forever
In a fire - satan certainly would as he is absolutely wicked -
This is his teaching as started in paganism -

The Bible clearly says - the wages sun pays is death not torture -
It says from dust we came and to dust will return at death -
Romans 6:23 and genesis 3:19.

The wicked sleep a perpetual sleep and never waken the Bible teaches -
Jeremiah 51:57 -
King James Version (KJV)
57 And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the Lord of hosts.

Psalm 146 :3 -4 says
King James Version (KJV)
3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
I
Ecclesiastes 319,20 says
King James Version (KJV)
19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

Hell - Sheol - hades - refer to the common grave of humankind
That is what the entire BIBLE teaches - both good and bad go into hell at death-

Jesus was in hell for 3 days before. Jehovah resurrected him to life again (acts 2)
Jonah was in hell ( a potential grave) for 3 days before God delivered him (Jonah 2)
From the belly of the large fish -

There was no fire or torture involved. -- death in the case of Jesus
And potential death in Jonah's case -

Burning someone in a fire is an abomination to almighty God as stated in
Jeremiah 7:31 and 32:35
King James Version (KJV)
31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.

35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

How much clearer can the scriptures be on the fact
God Almighty - Jehovah - would never cast someone in a burning fire -

The punishment for unforgivable sin is death forever - Back to dust forever -
Total destruction - the perfect symbol being fire - it consumes to dust - ashes - gases-

This is clearly stated in 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9
King James Version (KJV)
6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Psalm 52:5--
King James Version (KJV)
5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

Philippians 3:18-19
King James Version (KJV)
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Destruction not torment or torture is what happens to unrepentant wicked - eternal destruction -

Gehenna not hell - hades - Sheol was the symbol Jesus used for everlasting destruction- the valley of Hinnom-
Used as an incinerator for the filth of Jerusalem -the dead bodies if criminals who the Jews felt were unworthy of a resurrection were cast there to return to dust -the King James Bible mistranslates this as hell in several scriptures - it has a completely different meaning in Hebrew -it symbolized everlasting destruction not torture - how could that fire torture a dead body - it reduced it to ashes - back to dust -

Revelation likens Gehenna to the second death from which no resurrection is possible - it is symbolized by the lake of fire - total destruction - and death and hell are cast into it when all in their graves -in Sheol - hell - hades are resurrected under the " ransom " arrangement -
Those destroyed at the final test at the end of the 1000 years are cast into it -
If hell is a burning place of fire - how is it cast into a lake of fire called the second death ?
By being put out of existence forever - reasonably -

Those who teach a literal hellfire doctrine do not believe the rich man and Lazarus account is a parable and take it literally - Jesus used it as an illustration concerning the change of conditions that was to come between the common people and religious teachers of that day -
It is highly symbolic - a parable - which are never to be taken literally -
Like wheat and weeds and sheep and goats and mustard seed -ten virgins - etc

Note to that no one went to heaven prior to Jesus -
Colossians 1:18
King James Version (KJV)
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence
Jesus was the first one almighty God resurrected to heavenly life -no further resurrections would take place till
His second coming at the time of the end - then the first to be resurrected would be his "bride" Future kings and priests to rule with him 1000 years -see 1 Corinthians 15--

David and others who died previously were still dead in their graves when God resurrected Jesus-

Acts 2:29-36
King James Version (KJV)
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Can it be said more clearer -

Note also if all good go right to heaven at death as Christendom teaches then why did Lazarus not do so-
He was dead over 3 days - he said nothing about his death experience for there was nothing to say -
He died his thoughts perished as psalm 146:3,4 says -
John the Baptist would also then qualify for a heavenly resurrection but he will not be in heaven since he died before the door to heavenly life was opened by Jesus and his bride called and chosen -

Matthew 11:11
King James Version (KJV)
11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

All who died prior to Jesus Christ have part in the "better resurrection " not the "first resurrection"

Hebrews 11:35-40
King James Version (KJV)
35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Note this fact Paul states - all those mentioned would depend on those like Paul - future kings and priests ruling with Christ and under their rule of 1000 years over the earth would be brought to "perfection" as once enjoyed by our first parents before sinning -

Those who teach a pagan hellfire doctrine ignore many many many scriptures.
On the subject and make a mockery of the fact
GOD IS LOVE -

Romans 6:23
King James Version (KJV)
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Genesis 2:16-17
King James Version (KJV)
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.( not burn in a fire forever)

Genesis 3:19
King James Version (KJV)
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return - ( not burn in a fire forever )

Let the entire Bible speak for itself -
