You know as well as I and any objective person that 90%+ of the support on that board would not related to medical reasons or any other "legitimate" use of Marijuana.

Secondly, you cannot compare that to any of the other off topic categories that you are wanting to. Marijuana is ILLEGAL. Religion is not illegal. Politics is not illegal. Belief in Japanese Mafia creating and steering hurricanes is not illegal.

As far as I'm concerned Matt did the exact correct thing. He drew the line. If you don't draw it there, where do you draw it? How about a board for LSD? It's just another step down the line from Marijuana. How about a board for the correct way to shoot an AK-47? They aren't even necessarily illegal and besides guns don't kill people, people kill people. How about a board for rough sex? Some men AND women like it.

I could go on all day. You have to draw the line SOMEWHERE if you manage this site .... or else.... deterioration - just like society.

Thanks for the explanation, I was clueless as to what you were talking about.

I'm not sure how removing a marijuana board makes you think I hold this community in low esteem, but that's your opinion.

I removed it because I don't think it does this site's credibility any good to have a discussion about illegal drugs. It certainly has nothing to do with stocks, so it shouldn't be here in the first place. I'm not a fan of offtopic at all. It's only by force that I allow the discussion of politics, religion, and other random topics.

However, I simply don't see any reason to allow the discussion of marijuana here. There are thousands of other places that could cater to that discussion much better than this site.

I clearly already have enough knuckleheads to deal with, last thing I need is iHub showing up in search engines as a popular place for potheads to come try to explain why marijuana should be legalized.
