I'd guess that there are far fewer people that directly use and work on VMS now than 15 years ago. In the old days, you'd have lots of regular workers logging onto VMS systems to directly do their work. Now VMS systems are mostly server systems.
I haven't logged into a VMS system for a few months. I'd guess that most VMS oldtimers haven't logged into a system in years if not a decade.

Paul outside of youself and Intel some would say that there are concerns with IPFs sustainability and longevity. Only time will tell.
