That's why you would start out with 2 1 GB dimms and then put in
the 2 GB dimms when they drop to current 1 GB prices.

jhalada, the DIMMs would cost a little less than that but yeah maxing out the memory would be outrageously expensive. Memory prices will drop though so it might be affordable at some future point in time. Increasing the memory is a good way to keep old boxes useful.
It's a S939 and also supports A64X2 so the cpu can also be upgraded in the future.
