Michael, would you expand on your thinking about putting up so much cash (and 2-3X in buying power) for just a 10K payoff? I understand its a sure thing, but after subtracting out the interest seems your % gain is really small, especially taking into account how long it may take for the different agencies involved to get around to actually completing the paperwork to declare it dead and gone and return the money to your account.
