Got any examples of companies releasing cost data for a quarter less than halfway before that quarter is even over?

It's extremely rare to never that companies release cost data midway through a quarter that hasn't been reviewed by their auditor especially since with all the allocations that are included in cost data.

(and, yes, auditors are required to review the financials in the 10Q even though they don't perform a formal audit until the 10K)

Shareholders expect production and/or sales run tickets. I don't know anybody who expect cost tickets with any company. LOL that would just be silly. Companies announce production, orders, etc. all the time midway through a quarter. I honestly can't recall any company ever releasing cost data midway through. I'm sure there may be some rare, isolated examples in stock market history.
