Investing is usually an out of sight, out of mind kind of thing. After through DD and gain and risk calculations, the investment is made and then forget about it for a period. Returns on investment show up in quarterly reports of guaranteed returns in annuities, CDs, and conservative growth funds and the like. Nothing to sweat over if done well.

Got out of real estate funds after the 2nd quarter 2007 following two quarters of losses found on quarterly returns. Moved everything into guaranteed monies just in time before the collapse.

The GSEs were the first day trade stocks for me. After DD, I place my bet for the long term with calculated risk aiming at a very large return and moved on to day trade in other securities on the exchanges. If I lose the investment here, I am able to take the hit. My investment has been paid back already in what I have learned over the years about the stock market and analysis of company fundamentals the various conditions and events surrounding price trends, fluctuations, reversals and the like as well market organization, infrastructure, technology, TA, players, etc. and a way to make additional income in minutes.
