Getting approval for chain store shelf space is lengthy, and difficult. Chain grocery, convenience and drug stores do not let individual stores make this decision. New products must be approved by HQ and a slot in the chain's shelf schematic must be allocated before delivery and placement can take place. New products must exhibit a high expectation of success for all of this to take place. I fully expect our products to achieve this, but it is not a slam dunk, nor does it happen over night. And then, the product must sell in order to hold on to this limited shelf space. To get approval, a new vendor must demonstrate to the chain store buyer why his new product will be in demand (advertising, unique niche, etc). Distributors must exhibit ability to maintain inventory, and service the stores accepting the product. All of this must take place before any product is shipped to wholesalers (distributors). Hopefully this has taken place, or is in the final process of happening.
