It seems that over 60 democrats supported it in the house, but they are saying that when it gets to the senate, they think Chuck and Hill have the votes to block passage. It is a shame, but it is typical of the way those people like to do things. They really want to ban all guns, but they know they will probably never be able to do that. Instead, they try to put the gun manufacturers out of business by suing them into Chapter 11. I don't think exempting a gun manufacturer denies anyone his day in court nor does it deny him his right to sue those who have injured him. It is just another example of the trial lawyer mentality. Sue the ones with the deep pockets. You shouldn't be able to legislate by lawsuit. Congress should have that authority. The courts are there to ensure that what congress does passes constitutional muster, not to make new law.
