Not exactly a prediction but then there was the scorn he poured on those of us on SI who argued that AMD should restructure its involvement in Spansion. (I think it was 4Q 2004 - I don't have the search feature to be exact.) He informed us with pontifical dogmatism that not only was it a bad idea but it would never happen. Oops! As soon as Ruiz announced that it would he started chasing his tail. Overnight he became a restructuring specialist lecturing us all on why a Spansion spin-off or sale was inevitable. He even went so far as to predict that AMD might sell it for nothing - which, according to him, would be better than keeping it! There is none more faithful than a convert!
