Unfortunately I picked the WRONG hedge -- I used SMH, which dropped like a stone. My short gain from two days was just enough to cover the loss on my hedge!
Oh well, I learned something -- don't use SMH to hedge NDX!
EUrope is starting to outperform the US stock market over the last week to week and a half. this is the second time we sold off and they didnt follow. a good sign for europe bottoming and a VERY interesting development. perhaps they will take the lead. the US has carried the torch for quite some time. steve
