Wow. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, but no such luck for dear ol' Doug....

Nor exactly a prediction but then there was the scorn he poured on those of us on SI who argued that AMD should restructure its involvement in Spansion. (I think it was 4Q 2004 - I don't have the search feature to be exact.) Not only was this a bad idea, according to him, he informed us with his usual pontifical dogmatism that it would never happen. Oops! As soon as Ruiz announced that it would he started chasing his tail. Overnight he became a restructuring specialist lecturing us all on why it was inevitable. He even went so far as to predict that AMD might sell it for nothing - which, according to him, would be better than keeping it! There is none more faithful than a convert!
