But will this 2nd party handling business model lead to shipping delays? Do you know if Netflix uses this model, or does Netflix handle everything in-house? The key to internet dvd rental is turn around time. They need to get the product as fast to the consumer as possible. 2nd party handling is good for now, but will it work when GnF is a $1b company competing directly against Netflix & even amazon? GnF is a good small player right now, but Netflix and amazon are probably two of the most efficient internet businesses out there right now. Both of these are stiff competition. IMO GnF should stick with dvd's and games, go after Netflix, and stay away from music, books, and amazon. At least for now.
