Good question, You would think they would go ahead and open a distribution center in canada before attempting to do market research and think about starting service in the U.K. I wonder why GnF has such a hard eye on the european market.

re distrubution centers in canada, is not necessary as 90% of the canadian population live within 100 miles or so of the US border. For example, any DC that could service Washington State, NY or Minn. could service Canada, imo. A couple mkore of so Dc's strategically located is all I think that would be needed and the entire US and Canada can be covered well for 2-3 day delievery.
