Thanks for the update but PLEASE FIND a better Dr.or get a second opinion, your life and a battle with cancer needs as many eyes on it as possible as I am recovering from my own battle with cancer.
You cant put a price on your life and I hope Tom gets the BEST Dr. and treatment for a full recovery, That Doc can always build another home but tom cant grow another kidney.
Sorry just a bit pissed at that story, Hang in there Tom and Dont ever give up

Seems TF has had bad luck,

Not only in NHSH but Doctor's as well.
I wish him well and a speedy recovery.
I hope TF is able to recoup his losses in NHSH !

Synopsis of TF's current condition:

He has a cancerous tumor in one of his kidneys. The doc went in around the end of May and was supposed to cut off the arteries feeding the tumor to kill it.

Then it was discovered there were still problems, and at the same time the doc's house burnt down and he was out of pocket for a few weeks, which delayed another surgery.

He finally got the other surgery this last go-round, but subsequent tests showed that the doc missed the correct artery BOTH times, so the second of the most recent surgeries was to get the correct artery (finally).

It was too late. The tumor is now too big to treat in that manner. Now Tom is trying to recoup his strength (at home under a nurse's care) so he can survive a surgery to remove the entire kidney and anything around it that may be cancerous.

They're telling him 6 weeks for recovery from the coming surgery.

Wow. My prayers are with Tom. He is a battler and will need all of his willpower and friends prayers.
