Maybe they are just copying one of theinq's favorite news story generation techniques. First they invent a story that Intel will bring in the schedule of some product with a long standing roadmap. When this doesn't happen of course they then claim the product has "slipped".
Voila! Two bogus stories for the effort of one.
BTW, a related technique is exploitation of ambiguity. If an Intel product is slated for "2H" of a year then if it doesn't ship in July then it becomes officially late by gossip site standards. If it hasn't shipped by October then it has slipped by more than a quarter. ;-)
