I can't take Lipitor due to its side effects. I am now taking Niaspan. If torcitrapib works as a monotherapy--I know it's not being tested that way--I will be pissed that I won't be able to take it. My doctor will be pissed too. I bet there alot of others in my position. Cardiologists cannot be too pleased about the way Pfizer has chosen to develop the drug, and I bet they (PFE) come under increasing criticism as the drug gets closer to market.
