"Holy #&%*, Batman, I am not sure if my eye's can believe these photo's? The data says this is impossible. My brain tells me how the %#&* could a veterinary doctor have come up with a cure for psoriasis, when big pharma is spending billions of dollars and employing thousands of researchers and they have been stumped! Maybe Dr Menon did some hanky-panky to the rodents before he gave them the drug and took the photo's? Heck, I think Rustoleum makes that same glossy white in a spray paint that Leo might have used on the little fellas. Otherwise, I am quite impressed!" LOL
The numerical data from this are slightly less impressive than the pictures, and there may be unanswered questions about the role of experimental procedures (such as prior irradiation) on the outcomes.
I will take the opinion of Dr Menon as the most knowledgeable (and only) opinion that matters on the subject. He is super positive it works. Enough for me as everyone else is pretty much just blowing smoke with WAG's.
The line means the author doesn't know what "99% reduction based on histology" means, where histology is more accurate than appearance. Nor does he get that "180 days"..."no reoccurrence" means the mice went 15 human years with no new lesions.
The data I think the author is talking about:
» Prurisol (10 mg/kg PO twice/ day x 21 days)
» 84% reduction in lesion appearance
» 99% reduction in lesions based on histology
» 96% reduction in serum PRINS
» 87% reduction in serum IL-20
» No reoccurrence of lesions within 180 days
The numerical data from this are slightly less impressive than the pictures, and there may be unanswered questions about the role of experimental procedures (such as prior irradiation) on the outcomes.
