i think people have had a lot of negetive influences. they are tired of guys that they do not know threatening to kill them because of any reason imaginable. they are tired of being told everything the US does is bad when at the same time the critics are trading with the enemy. They are tired of enemies who think resistance is noble and religiously justified and use pregnant women as suicide bombing lures.

The fact is The Saddam regime is nasty. Groups of chanting crazy people in the middle east look looney. People are tired of the carping and the anti everything. I am sure Lay will carp on Kerrys statement, you know their behaviour. But a lot of people who do not follow Lay are just tired of it.

Maybe its time for the US to stage rallies in which 1 million US people hold up guns and chant "kill Saddam" Kill Egyptians" Kill Syrians" and start burning world leaders

if the US behaved like others do in the world, wouldnt it be awful? but they dont. Private Lynchs family joined the military because like a lot of Americans, they thought it was just and right

and that is the point of not using regime change

Racicot said Kerry "crossed a grave line" by suggesting replacement of the commander in chief at a time of war.

>Oh come on look at this sentence. So is it now illegal to run for office?
==========================
No, who said it was illegal? Who said Kerry can't or shouldn't run because he made this statement? Racicot said Kerry "crossed a grave line" meaning his statement was in extremely poor taste.

>Did the Republicans make this an issue or not?
========================
Of course they did. Kerry left himself wide open.

Do you think Kerry "planted" this story? Or do you think the Republicans wanted it out in the public eye?
==========================
Kerry didn't plant the story. He probably wishes he didn't make the comment in the first place. He's in damage control mode.

>Do you think the reporter should have left Kerry's campaign spokesman out of the loop?
=========================
Absolutely not. The comment should have been included. But realize this was an attempt to deflect criticism with an irrelevant retort. Unfortunately the reporter took the bait and the campaign spin grew into four paragraphs, including a one-liner stating Hastert and DeLay's lack of military service. Did you read anywhere in this story an explaination from Kerry's spokesman exactly WHY military service gave Kerry a free pass to make such a comment? Guess the reporter forgot to ask.

>>>Racicot said Kerry "crossed a grave line" by suggesting replacement of the commander in chief at a time of war.<<<

So what? Droves of high ranking republicans suggested replacement of the commander in chief from the day Bill Clinton took office until he left, through war and peace. Same old sob story from the GOP: "Please dont't treat Bush the way we treated Clinton".
