No you are not, you cool. I think many people miss great opportunities because they do not know how to use history. History is the compilation of events resulting from decisions made under a specific set of conditions. If all those do not align identically in the present you will have a totally different outcome.... have you heard the expression.."I do not know why it does not work, it worked before"...:)
