ISP's raise the bar on speeds by about 20% per year to support new technology and industry standards. Comcast is in the process of doing as we speak as well as all the other ISPs. Over time 4k content will become more and more available and the streaming capabilities will not be an issue. Are there issues with streaming HD on NetFlix today? Not usually, was there a problem when they first started their streaming service? ABSOLUTELY, I witnessed it!! But it's ok now! And LOOK AT THEM! See how that works? Basic stuff here.
Technology is changing as we speak. To even say 4k is not possible is ridiculous. What was once only 64kbps dial up speed has continuously evolved into some of the fastest speeds we have ever dreamed. Do you think that is about to stop? For the sake of making money and competition I say it's pretty safe to say that will never happen. Speeds will continue to grow and grow beyond our comprehension. To say technology will STOP and speeds will remain the same is not forward thinking and downright not very smart (for the ISP's). When new technology emerges all other technologies adjust. They do not remain static, technology is dynamic. We all know this. If it didn't change you would be using a 64kbps dial up modem. LOL
