The President would not wipe out cash producing machines like Fannie and Freddy. It would be a stupid business decision to do that. The first thing coming out of Obama's mouth regarding the GSEs is this future quote, "we in congress have reviewed the current state of these companies and decided to allow them to become privatized and continue with the housing and banking recovery as is presently seen". Any fool who would temper with these companies to the detriment of the country would be committing political suicide and a grave mistake for the country that the taxpayer will not tolerate. That is why the hedge funds have been buying the crap out of the stock and running it so high lately. Anybody who believes our notorious government would wipe them out and the the shareholders is dreaming a fantasy that was reality 5 years ago but not today. That is my take on the matter. So buying now is a wise move. I am day trading it and taking advantage of its volatility, its a money making machine for me. GLTA!
