Merrill Lynch believes that Samsung's and NOK's new internally-developed chips are a clear negative for QCOM, as they loosen QCOM's grip over the CDMA chip manufacturing industry; while firm believes that the near-term risk for QCOM is minimal, over the longer-term if Samsung decides to completely halt its chip purchases from QCOM, QCOM's revs would decline by 19.2%; firm is also concerned that other co's could potentially follow this path of internal chip production.

Scary, and there may be follow through selling tomorrow as well. Actually it bounced off at 33.81(g)! I think Zeev's suggestion of waiting for an extra buck below this level, at about 32.50-32.75, sounds better to me at the moment. Watching and waiting!
