I really don't think the GOB has much of a argument. They seem to just be throwing their weight around, and they could win with that.

I stand by my original statements.

The Judge was saying in his ruling that...

1) The concessions were awarded without a competitive bidding process. Which in most country's including Belize is illegal.

2) The GOB's Ministry failed to do a EIA to determine if the Concessions were safe for oil exploration before being put them up for bid.

3) The Ministry did not show that the company's that the Concessions were given to had the wherewithal to do that exploration or deal with a major environmental emergency.
