I suspect Gov Arnold was pointing out the hypocrisy of writing a book for children that supposedly influences them to not join gangs, while at the same time dedicating same to some blacks that expose violence.
I see nothing racial about the Governors reasoning.
What one can see often depends on what one knows. For instance during the OJ trial most white folks assumed that OJ was a hero in the Black Community.

Many in the Black Community Hate OJ with a passion and considered him a traitor to the Black Community. Very few see him as a hero. I have never meet one adult in all my years that saw OJ as a Hero like Micheal Jordan.
Had the Black Militant Arnold named been Malcom X would you have written the same paragraph above about Tookies hypocrisy?
Three cheers for Bill Cosby. It is refreshing for someone in the black community to suggest that taking personal responsibility is a crucial element in one's ultimate success.
If you want to cut the name calling crap like that below [ or maybe I should say insinuating crap ] and take your own advice about responsibility...
unless of course, you are one of those that see everything in terms of the racially depressed blacks, being the consummate victims no matter what bad deeds they commit or how little they participate in determining their own well being.
