American economy is driven by middle class and upper middle class, not the wealthy or poor. Middle class and upper middle class do watch how their dollars are spent and always looking for the astute, smart purchase.

Wrong. The poorest of poor own 60" flat screens, cable and assorted gaming devices. It is a matter of priority and Rent to Own.

The richest of rich bargain shop.

People are people.

Stereotyping?

Disagree! $1800/year or $1800/ONCE?

People average $150 a month just for Cable that isn't including ALL the channels. Which has limited viewing and usually has repeats that are completely annoying. The average person pays over $1800/YEAR just to watch TV. You are able to get a Nuvola for $299 and a 50" Ultra HD tv from NTEK for $1499 (SOON) for a total of only $1798 FOR LIFE. Most IPTV channels are FREE. So people who are NOT rich should do the math. Continue paying outrageous fees for cable or have all the free channels with IPTV with the best equipment. The most you would pay is about $15 / month if you had Netflix and Hulu for example. It really seems like a no brainier here. Not to mention these set top boxes are VERY user friendly. MORE so than a cable remote. People who are money conscience should be able to put 2 and 2 together. It isn't rocket science. $1800 a YEAR for watching the same crap or tens of thousands of choices ON DEMAND for $1800 ONCE at a maximum of $15/month? So in reality this technology SAVES people money and NOT just for the wealthy. Not at all! We need to start looking at the BIG PICTURE (No pun intended). People need to realize this is a MONEY SAVER! Without question!

I don't know if you've noticed, but most lower income people have better toys than people with money! They can't afford a house, so they buy the toys....cell phones, televisions, vacations, all the things I can't afford the best of because I'm a property owner with kids in college! No, lower income people will buy. If they have credit they will buy!
