4 notes per measure? Try about 23 or 27 or whatever weird number fits with what passes for a sense of rhythm from our lyricist. I mean, I'd love to just rock out in 4/4, but this clown keeps writing lyrics that have to be forced into things like 13/16 time, and I could swear one of his most recent tirades about space travel or some such nonsense only works if played in 11/pi time.
The only way to dance to his stuff is if you're having a seizure.
Sad that he's also the drummer, so he has nearly complete control over time and time signatures.
And try singing his whining stuff about the state of the world while playing a completely unrelated bass line, stomping on some pedals, acting like you like the prima donna guitarist and schmoozing the audience. Oy!
The bass players I know have the hardest jobs in the business. Especially when they're also the only decent vocalist in the band.
