Yup, it's a whole different game with stained crown. Most of my work is in Naples, where all the designers love paint.

Or wood putty. I defy Norm Abrams to cut a crown molding that would fit in my dad's really old house. Some of the beams are so petrified I had to run plumbing around them as opposed to through them. Try drilling through a 12x12 beam that has been around for 250 years. Lot's of luck.
