i would put a sell limit order at like $40.00 as high as possible , so no one can short and play with it.

No complaint. It will happen.

I follow the relative value. I am not the one in the know so I just pick whatever it's cheaper and rotate. Sometimes got it right, sometimes got it wrong. If I still had the common (except my now 4000 shares of FNMA as souvenir :-)), I wouldn't hesitate to sell the common and rotate to junior.
