yeah, its here and going nowhere as of now. Even Netflix has backed away from entering the download market at this time. Most people do not have their computer hooked up to their TV or want to spend time downloading a movie onto their computer and then burning a dvd so they can play it on their TV.

I think you are getting a bit ahead of yourself. They are both good investments right now. But the companies who will be able to adapt when the change comes will continue to grow. Yes the service exists but the current mail method is much more profitable right now and still growing. It will take time for this shift to occur.

How long has it "been here"? And still only 2-3 percent of the market? Yeah, it's "surging". Rentals of the physical medium are inexpensive, convenient, easy to use, and PORTABLE.
I have no desire whatsoever to use PPV, VOD, or any other distribution method on a regular basis. I want the pysical platter...PERIOD!
