Whatever the dealings between James and Mike, Mike was fully aware when he made that contract. That he made it and didn't honor it, dishonors him, IMO. If he won't keep his word in one thing, he won't keep his word in another, he is responsible for his word, and no one else's. If he made that contract, fully intending to perpetrate a fraud upon James, then that is even worse. IMO
That $10,000 cost him his integrity (if he still retained it, at that point), and ended up costing much more dollar wise, I would imagine.
