I completely agree, but tell that to the "Random Walk Down Wall Street" fan club, or John Bogle. My larger point was that a fair number of folks don't hold technical analysis in high regard. I'm all with trendlines (and volume a little less so), but Elliot Wave, Fibonacci, stochastics, etc. have no more value to me than astrology, not that I'm the world's greatest authority.
