Very good observation Newly! I'd have to agree totally that it will accelerate over time and will have a major impact as you mention. It may not be too long before we'll be reading about it in the news and that will likely just increase the numbers as some folks have to read about it before considering it...tuna
Newly, but what about Global Warming? It may be too hot down here.... I watched a show that was predicting one scenario that had a major ice age around the great lakes area because of global warming... Seems thay may not have anywhere to go....<g>
Completely agree. I talked to a energy consultant on a plane trip a while back (before we had energy concerns). He dealt with small power plant and alternative energy operators. I asked him the question about demographics and energy. He said it was clear in all the research that folks are slowly migrating to warmer climates. He specifically mentioned Detroit as being one area where they were seeing measureable migration to warmer climates. Only makes sense. Hopefully we see meaningful pullback in RE next couple years so I can make some bets. -Q
