Read FHFA report last year FMCC got money from the treasury. FNMA didn't get single penny from the treasury last year. Another thing FNMA is much bigger than FMCC. FNMA drives price not FMCC.
FNMA Q1 profit will be out sometimes next week IMO. I see many want to reload again before the financials. Expected huge profit. FNMA will be the most profitable financial firm after Q1. If they add tax related gain it will be about 70 billion dollars profit. If not about 10 billion dollars net profit. Housing market is a hot potato. housing recovery continues plus US economy grows, jobless rate goes down. Expecting fully year profit. FHFA chief will be changed, new chief will be close to Obama adm. I believe FNMA will be own by shareholders in the future.
