Wailae CC? Nice, lucky you got to play there. Considered one of the most premier CC in the US. I was born not in LA but at Kapiolani Hospital in HNL. When my grandfather passed away a few years ago in Kailua, I stayed at the Mandarin, The Kahala Hotel. I stayed there a few times, once an ocean front villa, another on the fairway at Wainae. I never played golf there. Bummer. When my grandfather passed so did his membership at Oahu CC up Nuuanu by the Pali. Did you ever get a chance to play there. It is a nice view and always cool up the mountain. If you ever get a chance go there to see the view one day. You will like it.
Damn fire. My kids go to Malibu High, which is at Zuma Beach. Fire Alert today, as it moves into Newbury Park. Boney Pony Ranch is way out by county line and next in line to get hit if the fire jumps the ridge. Great day to live near county line.
