Incorrect. If one of his chunks is held for a long period of time etrade separates them due to it being a "longterm" investment which is taxed differently.

That is not true they separate them by long term and short term. My 27 mil is what I have had for more than one year and the 2.5 mil is what I have bought over the last few months. Please do some DD before make a statement like that. A simple phone call to ETrade and you can find that fact out.
