Thanks, osprey. He was ready to go, and his arthritis got pretty bad the past 6 years. I was ready, too, I suppose, and knew it was coming soon. Put him in a beautiful spot, under a sweet-smelling flowering trumpet tree in the yard. I don't want to dig any more graves for a while . . .

PS Cats can live a long time with joint problems, and O'm sure yours will slow down when she needs to. Cats are pretty smart critters.
