Yes, he had a good, long life. I still have his mother who is 21, but females always seem to hold up better than males. He was born into my hands, the only kitten in his litter. Hate to say it, but while his mother is very smart, he was very dumb (lovable, but dumb), and I always suspected he had been brain-damaged at birth as he was so big and it was his mother's first birth. Sweet cat, but he hadn't been enjoying his life much of late, so I am content he's at rest now.
Seems to be a lot of death in my house this year. Three so far, and three to go. Lost an old parakeet a few months back, then my much-loved Brandy, and now my big ole BlackStuff. One parakeet left (he's old, too), and two cats, 19 and 21 years old. Then there's only me left . . .
