Not a particularly accurate observation. Like with many universities, Microsoft offers their software at steep discounts to A&M students. Given that I be one, I exercised my options.

Yeah that is what was said about Windows 64? Remember? Where is it? Combjelly says you can get it for $15 and nobody wants it. Where are all of the 64 bit games that were going to take over the world? What happened to Unreal Tournament 64? Why can’t someone write a 64 bit game for Linux 64 and Window 64 Professional that works? Inquiring minds want to know? Now of course it’s Vista! Slam dunk!

I run lots of apps on AMD64.
Flight Sim runs faster, higher frame rates, to name one.

Guy's on the flight sim forum can't do it with intels chips?

I dual boot both OS's. The only problem I've found are apps with 16 bit installers.
If you have a problem with AMD64 it's yours, not mine.

If you have no experiance with AMD64 perhaps you should refrain from commenting???
