Re: What you describe has already occurred to some degree via its depiction of TDP in technical docs now as a variable of TCase max for a given thermal profile (Opteron has 9 thermal profiles to date).
Can you expand on this, please (sorry, I am not aware of this many profiles, or any changes to the TDP measuring methodology).
