laptop thermal specs: Now which of these thermal profiles do you think AMD would use in the laptop segment? AMD has specified the turion at 95C while Intel the Pentium-M at 100C. Both server and desktop are much lower than this. The higher specified temperature allows greater cooling with a lighter and smaller thermal solution... but at the cost of a higher TDP. I doubt if AMD dropped the case temperature much more they would be able to get anybody to design it in. --Alan

Neither. AMD has committed to a 35W (max) power delivery based Turion umbrella, so whatever they release for dual core Turion will likely be within the same envelope. Therefore, I expect them to cut voltages and frequencies in order to reach this limit.
