You seal off the area days ahead of time and search everyone going in.

seal off what area? the whole city? 26 miles of boston on either side of the streets for days ahead of time, shutting down the whole city since the route bisects much of the city?

The only lapse i can see might be that they didn't have enough bomb sniffing dogs, but bomb sniffing dogs are trained mostly on C-4 and dynamite analogs... if the bombs were very crude, they might have been made from household chemicals and may not have even caused specialized canine sniffers to alert. But locking down a whole city for days ahead of time with a "search of everyone going in"? Not likely, in my opinion.

What area? 1/2 million people came to Boston for this event. Search everyone? How many searchers would that take? Sometimes there just isn't an answer.

That was your feelings and I sincerely felt sorrow at them as I thought you MAY just translate
them into actions .. with you and your son .. now, I repeat! that would be TOO BAD!

it wasn't snide on my side. it was sincere, sorry you couldn't tell that. AGAIN! It was SINCERE. It was
quite obvious that you felt very very threatened and upset/angry at the entire tragedy.

so so sorry for my incorrect thinking.

I know you have me on ignore but I always like to respond to ignorant people like you. In case you don't now (which is obvious) the finish line is locked down 48 hours before the event and there is a police presence. But because you seem like some ignorant moron you think they will look at all the peoples backpacks and be able to secure all the entrances - which in case you don't know which once again you seem oblivious too - there are hundreds. There are no tickets sold to this event so anyone can walk up to watch this event. As you seem incapable of critical thought maybe you can talk about how they search people backpacks on the streets of NY where you are afraid to sneeze as you say.

I know we can't stop you from posting stupid shit but I'm here and will always point out how an uncritical and uneducated mind seems to work.

That's one of the busiest places in Boston with lots of major roads, stores, the Boston Public Library, Copley Square, the road leading to Storrow Drive, many hotels, the Prudential Center complex, several subway exits/entrances etc.

You can't seal that off for days.
