The right, afforded to us by the second ammendment allows the citizens of this great country to own one. AK-47......other than the fact, you can own one.

I do not personally own any guns, nor do I have a desire to own any, however, to amend the constitution stating rules and regulations as to which type, how many, qty of bullets, etc... would be a foolish endeavor. I would like to have THE RIGHT to own a gun of any style/caliber should I feel the need to have one.

Foolish comparison if you ask me. To each his own.

you'll know you need one when you find yourself unable to defend yourself and you're home. I hope you're never in that position. It would be a sad sight seeing you holler at the perpetrators, "your not supposed to have those guns"

why does a civilian, not in a battlefield need an AK-47......other than the fact, you can own one.

Amazingly enough...An Assault rifle by the definition of the federal govt thirty years ago was fully automatic...A Semi-automatic rifle was not considered an assault rifle back then...

If you would take the time to learn some facts about firearms you might have a chance of getting your point across. However, posts written with ignorance of the subject usually get dismissed.

1- A 22 rifle will shoot through a door.
2- An assault rifle is a fully automatic weapon; something that requires a heavy fee and serious ATF paperwork and certification to own.
3- None of the over 22,000 gun laws on the books that we currently have on the books has ever stopped single gun crime; criminals by their very description care nothing about laws.
