Yes, it is very dependant on your numbers....if someone has 5 million shares it is easy to take 500,000 profits off the board. Where as someone with 100,000 shares might want to consider a much higher percentage due to profits vs commission. I would also like to add that using an "Average Down" strategy for you entries allows you to get a good price many times and it relieves stress about hitting the bottom exactly. and on the same note taking profits on the way up relieves stress about trying to hit a top exactly.
