Microsoft-MSFT's Windows OneCare about to be rolled out-eWeek.com

Microsoft's (MSFT) Windows OneCare beta, which is currently being tested privately, is about to be opened to the public "very soon," but the company will not give an official ship date. A spokesman for Microsoft said, "Windows OneCare Live is currently in a limited, managed external [public] beta. We expect to release our beta more broadly for consumers later this year, which is consistent with the prior timing guidance we have shared to date." Ziff Davis Internet News believes the public release could come as early as next week
