The commons are actually worthless and will be cancelled Because of Ambac bankruptcy, not because of the ownership. As its net assets are -$3 Billion and deficits are $6.2 Billion which will Never be covered, it has no residual values for the commons, so Commons will be cancelled and wiped out .
