Since President Obama became chief executive, the national debt has risen almost $5 trillion. But how much of that was because of policies passed by Obama, and how much was caused by the ?nancial crisis, the continuation of past policies and other effects? For this analysis, we worked with the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities to attach a price tag to the legislation passed by Obama and his predecessor. George W. Bush’s major policies increased the debt by more than $5 trillion during his presidency. Obama has increased the debt by less than $1 trillion. course he'll fix it without more taxes .. Obama has had his tax hike Boehner sezzz .. why?
THE TRUTH ABOUT TAXES: Here's How High Today's Rates Really Are .. bits ..
Let's begin with a look at the top income tax bracket since the federal income tax was started in 1913. As you can see, relative to history, it's currently VERY low.
And before you protest that INCOME taxes may be low, but the government is now gouging us a thousand new ways, note that total government tax revenue (federal, state, and local) is actually now lower than pretty much any time in the last 40 years. (Not as low as it was in the first half of the last century, though!)
CRR decision: oppose Obama on every piece of legislation including JOBS.
only an ocean of hypocrisy can keep you your party afloat when it comes to the economy and job creation .. which you really don't seem to really care about or you wouldn't be supporting the GOP .. you must have seen all these by now .. some of ..
sorry pal, sick and sorry never wins in the long run ..
Nitwit is very fitting handle for you...................he got handed a pile of crap and it was already 10.7 trillion and your PIMPS wouldn't raise taxes but looooooooooooooooooooved to fight wars and cut taxes. Real freaking stupid aren't you and the other CONS???????????? When did you and other CONS start to become concerned about debt? I'll wait for your stupid response!
of course someone as ill informed as you would use the number 9 trillion yet an informed person knows that when Obama took office it was already 4 months into the government's fiscal year. The appropriations were already passed and put into cement. A first year civics student knows that once an appropriation bill is signed the President HAS to spend the money as directed. So the only thing we can add that could be pinned onto Obama was the stimulus and most of that money was spent in 2010, 2011, and a little in 2012. That 2009 deficit was 1.4 trillion so you should start your counting with fiscal year 2010. Of course a Nitwit would take into consideration the war costs and also the unpaid prescription drug benefit program and the high unemployment costs that cause our deficits to spike. But then once a nitwit always a nitwit. It's such a shame as some people cannot escape their genetic make-up as it probably runs in the family.
