The truth Seth is what we call "unforeseen circummstances" but no one knows what that refers to because NEOM was just being NEOM as usual. Here is what the extension said:
NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”) is unable to file its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the period ended December 31, 2011 (the “Annual Report”) within the prescribed period due to unforeseen circumstances in the preparation and completion of the Annual Report. Such circumstances prevent the Company from filing the Annual Report without unreasonable efforts or expense.
I'll make another prediction for you Seth. On or about March 29, 2013, NEOM will file for an extension and the reason will be more of those "unforeseen circumstances" that tend to crop up in late March of every year. Similar to my speculation that NEOM won't file a 10-K on time this year, anyone is free to speculate about why NEOM was late last year; but no one knows for sure except the insiders at NEOM.
