The very idea of having 19 patents, each one of them costing the company money to research and register, is to form 19 barriers.

The patent atty was very clear that she regarded these 19 patents as no better than a single patent, and the only reason for the separate patents was for PR purposes. The company basically acknowledged this itself by filing terminal disclaimers for all of them.

She did say she thought there was a reasonable chance of the patents holding up.
