Crossing the 200 MA daily will be a very bullish signal and will make it harder to rationalize that the uptrend is not sutainable. Many investors will look at that as a strong signal to buy increasing buying pressure that will help break the resistance at $3.00 making it less desireable to be short in GTE, hence to maximize profits or minimize loses shorts will cover and look for a new point to take a short position. There will always be shorts it's a fact that we'll have to deal with part of what creates the buying and selling pressure. Since short reports are still new to the stock learning what is a good number for that position and what is not is something we'll have to do, at some point a short position of 4 million shares might be looked at as an excellent number.
